Stephen Harrison

                                Stephen Harrison

Stephen was born in Ottawa in 1983, while growing up he explored a lot of deep forests, expansive fields and cool creeks. This helped and inspired Stephen into the world of photography. He has a diploma in photography from Algonquin College. He also teaches photography, lighting, digital imaging, and digital asset management to the general public at a local camera store. He is a professor to Media and Communication and studies students at Algonquin College. I personally picked this photographer because i love the colours he uses. Some of his photos i found were a bit too blurred and took away from the beauty of the photos he is taking. The lighting he uses and the angles give the perfect edge to the photos.

                                                                 Mine

used the nightime, light and contrast of the trees to my advantage in this photo.

I focused on the interesting shapes at the end of the branches and used the slight fog to my advantage

I was trying to do a colour contrast with the black chair and the green grass

I used the wet wood to help bring out the colour of the grass.

I used the wet wood to my advantage and got a bit of a reflection. I also flipped the picture to give it more of a unique look.

I tried to focus on the brown of the tree but also have the green grass in the background

I tried to focus on the few leaves and the rain drops.

All together, i was trying to work with different colours similar to what the photographer i picked did. I also tried to step out of my boundaries with the photos, giving a more unique look to them. Hope you enjoy! :)

Half face Pictures

I took two photos, one profile and one straight one. I then overlapped them and lowered the opacity on the top one so you were able to see both pictures.I aligned the eyebrows and noses of the two photos. Then i went around the faces and pulled the brush around it cropping out the excess photo. Then painted the background, i then when around and lightly softened the edges of the photos.  And made sure there was no excess that needed to be taken out of the photo.
